The latest YouTube update. This entry ends the first cycle of "The YouTube clip for". Along the last weeks I've uploaded a few videos to the Metal Invaders Channel. From now, the main idea, is share content between the blog and the channel. All posts will be published with the related video. The T-800 is the last video of the first cycle. For the next post/video I'll introduce the WH40K World Eaters Legion 6" Berserker/Daemon Prince.

Blast from the past! (Part 5) Terminator T-800 (endoskeleton)

To reflect the dark future imagined by James Cameron I use two Neca Endoskeleton bodies, one for the base and another for main display. The poser T-800 was painted in a chrome finish and the weapon scratch build. The fell T-800 was disposed in the base with a blast in the chest and the limbs broken.

Here is a short "making off" of the base from start to finish.

Blast from the past! (Part 4) Hulk vs Wolverine

Hi everybody! This time I bring you a lot of old pictures of an small diorama made with Marvel Universe figures. The Hulk figure was one of the first 3 3/4 produced by Hasbro for "The Incredible Hulk" movie (2008) It was part of a pack with a Humvee G.I.Joe vehicle repainted for the US Army Hulk Buster Squad. The Wolverine figure was part of the "Marvel Universe X-Force pack" The barrel that Hulk is kicking out, comes with a German Vehicle of the Indiana Jones Hasbro line. Both figures were painted in a classic comic color scheme and the dark base simulates a "neutral" scenery.

Blast from the past! (Part 3) Yoda on Dagobah

An ancient Jedi master stands alone on a planet where the life grows wild on a half way between the light and the dark...

Well, everyone knows about Yoda and his fate so I've tried to show some wisdom and determination on his gaze through the paintwork. In this "deleted scene" Yoda is crossing an small river over a wood. The faith moves mountains and the wisdom of this Jedi helps him to cross a river... Nothing more to said.

Blast from the past! (Part 2) Kratos from God of War

Another figure of Neca turn into statue. This time Kratos, from the God of War franchise. Like in the previous "Blast from the past!" entry (featuring: Pirates of the Caribbean's CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow) the arms of this figure has been fixed in a position and one of the hands can be exchanged for another. The "regular" position of Kratos have a pair of swords in his hands, in the other option he holds the Medusa head.

I do not remember much more about what I did on this figure far from the work on the base or the skin / tatoos paint :-/

For any unknown reason the guy who took this pictures for me, shoot the most of them on a diagonal position.... I've corrected the most of them so now you have not to turn your head to see them properly. Some are darker than others (an artistic expresion, I suppose) and the quality is "whatsapp" low because he said that there was no need on connect the terminal on the computer to download the pictures... (seen this pictures now seems that he was right...)

Meanwhile, I'm still working on several commissions and personal projects...

 

Blast from the past! (Part 1) Jack Sparrow

I've adopted the "Blast from the past" name of the Gamma Ray 2000 compilation album where they re-recorded some classical themes of the band. I've rescued some pictures of various commission works I did in the past. Among them I'll show figures form the Hasbro Star Wars line, Neca, Marvel Super Heroes...

For the "part 1" I've choose a Neca CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow action figure from their Pirates of the Caribbean line. This figure was repurposed as statue fixing the position with glue after an arm was broken (sadly a very common design mistake in these figures where the material used for the joints was very fragile and cracks easily when you try to articulate them). The paint work quality of the most of the Neca's figures it's very good so I only try to "upgrade" this with slightly details such inks in the clothes to give them more realism or paint the skins.

The base simulates beach sand so now Jack can feel like home. The figure comes with some accessories, a hat and a hand gun that can be removed and changed in the figure as shown in the pictures so Jack can be exposed in two or three different situations.

A lot of things to do...

Wow! A lot of new commission works for the next two weeks. Some of them are extremelly easy to do and others are proyects that I´m really excited to start. In this days I'll be dressmaker, hairdresser, barber, mechanic, engineer of droids, esthetic surgeon and SPACE KNIGHT MAKER!!! hehehe...

COMMISSION (part VIII) Playmo Space GE5P as R2-D2

I know that the classic Playmobil robot GE5P was one of the most desired figures of my friend L. So when some days ago I got one of this figures for him, the temptation of make a version of his beloved R2-D2 screamed him from inside "DO IT!!!" And this is the result of him commission.

COMMISSION (part VII) Marvel Legends Daredevil (Movie Yellow)

This Marvel Legends Daredevil (Movie Version) has been a very funny figure to be painted. The articulations have taken the paint very well, and the Ben Affleck face have an awesome sculpting work.

Matt Murdock has changed the clothes once more, this time wearing a more classical color selection but dares with the new materials of the XXI century...

The reds have been darkened in the base and a medium red has been used in the DD logo and the belt to fit the comic lights. The yellow (the most important color in this character's version) Has been aplied for not to cover the whole areas, leaving some parts in shadows so in this way only one yellow tone it's needed for represent the clothes material.
