"The things I do for fun" (Chapter 2) Transformers: G1 MEXICAN HOIST
I've been feeling very happy when in a sinister box I've found this figure. The mexican G1 Hoist with Trailbreaker head. The figure it's a million miles far to be in an acceptable state but smells like Diaclone Times, I love it! :-)
A good friend gave me a pair of G1 Devastator drills so now my figure can work in the mines of Cybertron. Thanks!!!
It's incomplete but with a strong spirit.

TRANSFORMERS G1 TAP-OUT BUST
Another homage to the later repainted minibots. This G1 Tap-Out has been painted respecting the original base color except for the screens. The original Tap-Out figure was available exclusively to pre-registrants of Botcon 2002 and later distributed through the Preview Magazine with the Wreckers exclusive comic. Like in the previous cases (Astro Magnum and Bug Bite) the base for the figure has been a Diamond Select Bust. The original Cliffjumper bust carries an enormous canon as seen in the "More than meets the eye" animation when he, in company of Hound, tries to shoot Megatron from a hidden position (How brave for an Autobot!!!)
The bodywork and arms color was painted with an exclusive mixture to match the original toy. The canon has been painted too, in darker tones, so now exist more coherence between all the diferent elementes of the bust.
The screens of the base has been inked to a closer color of the bodywork.

TRANSFORMERS G1 BUG BITE BUST
As I show in the past WIP, WIP, Wip, wip... entry, this is a Transformers G1 BUG BITE bust based on a Bumblebee bust from Diamond Selet.
Like in the previous Shockwave / Astro Magnum customized bust this one has been completely repainted including the base. Once separated the arms an head of the bust, the Autobot symbol was sanded so I could later paint the proper Decepticon symbol. The main bodywork of the character has been painted in white and marked in the joints with a light grey to contrast the different pieces.
The base of this extradimensional traveler was painted in deep purple with sinester screens in a red and light violet glow effect.
The Decepticon symbol inside the Autobot silhouette homage the classics rubsigns of the G1 figures.

WIP, WIP, Wip, wip...
I have selected four of the various work in progress on my table. Two of them have delivery date so I hope to finish them tomorrow.
Transformers G2 Go-Bot BLOWOUT based on an Animated transparent Lockdown figure.
Transformers G1 BUG BITE bust based, of course, on a Bumblebee bust from Diamond Selet.
This dragon has been kept in a box for almost fourteen years! It was already time to be painted.
This is an Ultimate Wolverine figure that is currently been customizing to turn it on a mercenary character.

"The things I do for fun" (Chapter 1) Transformers: Devastation GROUND SOLDIER (Blue)
In the Transformers: Devastation video game, the classic Battlechargers Decepticons were re-designed and used to represent Decepticons Ground Soldiers. This are the guys you will face constantly in the various scenes of the game.
Work on G1 figures it's always fun and this case has been easy and effective. For this Ground Soldier I have used a G1 Runamuck figure (the white one).
I have selected two main blue colors, one of them is a grey / blue for the bodywork that I think that fits better for the toy than a light blue (it's like the "dark" colors of the Stunticons). For the cristal I have used a bright yellow that contrast with the blue.

ASTRO MAGNUM (GREY SHOCKWAVE) BUST
Years ago Hasbro give license to Diamond Select to produce bust of their Transformers brand. A lot of different characters were made (mainly the classic characters) and some of them were offered as exclusive repaints.
Diamond produce one item for the Shockwave character, a bust limited to small quantities like the rest of the line.
This Shockwave bust has been repainted to represent Astro Magnum. Astro magnum was the first incarnation of the toy that we usually known as Shockwave. It was made by the japanese company ToyCo and widely distributed in others countries under different names (a lot of bootleg figures were made with this mold and some of them with a high quality). In the United States the Radio Shack stores sold them as Galactic Man. There are small differences between the different versions of AM / GM been the most notorious the grey and transparent plastics and the copyrights mark.
Recently, in 2015, the AM / GM color scheme was used in the Transformers Devastation videogame to represent some kind of Sockwaves clones.
I have paint the main armor of the robot with German Grey and the markings with pure white. The base has been decorated to simulate a rusty piece of cybertronian technology. No Decepticon markings has been painted to respect the indeterminate nature of the original toy.
I hope you enjoy this gallery as much as I've done on painting this bust.
